These questions are optional. My interest in dancing:
I'm keen on French, Swedish, Cajun, Ceroc, in fact any couple dancing that entails a lot of swirling & twirling around on the dancefloor.
My interest in playing music for dancing:
When I've tired myself out dancing, I'll play the fiddle until I get my breath back. Having said that, I also play with the Mortimers Band. I'm happy playing other instruments too - one-row accordion, piano/keyboards, flute, whistle, guitar, five-string banjo, etc.
My interest in dances from different european countries and areas:
I've mostly been dancing French - central France and some Bretton - at Ockbrook and Ketton. I like the odd Swedish Polska, but as I find the music interesting, I probably play them more than dance them.
My interest in finding out about traditional social dances around Europe:
Always interested in trying something new, especially with a good partner.
My interest in helping others learn some traditional social dances around Europe:
I seem to be able to teach one-to-one on the dancefloor (others may disagree), and would be interested in having a go sometime with a group of learners.
My suggestions for how this site could be more useful:
More photos, since I have trouble putting names to faces! Come on. Don't be shy.
